2 to 5 Piece Grinders
The most common weed grinders go all the way up to 5 pieces, with the 2 piece grinder obviously being the easiest to use. If you are new to the world of weed grinders, then it is highly recommended that you start at the 2 piece option then work your way up from there if you want.
There tends to be a lot more waste when it comes to the 2 piece grinders. With the 3 piece grinders you starting getting a more uniformed of shredded weed. If you want more precise pieces of weed, then the 3 piece weed grinder is an option to consider.
The next step up is the 4 piece grinder and it is that critical 4th piece that collects the kief, so there is less waste. The kief powder is pretty important for a lot of people, and if you are one of the people the really care about it, then you should be looking at a 4 piece or 5 piece weed grinder exclusively.
The 5 piece weed grinder is also made to ensure collection of the kief, but it has another screen to ensure even finer kief. This type of grinder has the ability to split the kief into “clean” and “dirty” compartments. It also ensures that your weed is grinded as uniformly as possible.
Electric Grinders
Electric weed grinders have actually been around for a while, and if you don’t like grinding your weed by hand, then this is probably your best option. The thing that has improved over the years is the power and battery life of the grinder, meaning it is more powerful than ever and will last longer without needing to charge it.
While there is more power in these machines than in the past, it is still an issue and you may not get that fine or uniform grinded weed that you are looking for, or that you could get with a hand grinder. Overgrinding is also an issue that you need to be on the lookout for.
